CAS runs continuously across 18 months, not in a single term — which makes it the easiest DP requirement to lose track of. Students must demonstrate all 7 Learning Outcomes, complete at least one CAS Project, and maintain a portfolio throughout.

A student doesn't need to hit every outcome in every activity — but by the end of 18 months, all 7 need to be evidenced somewhere across their CAS experience. Tracking this per-outcome as you go is far easier than reconstructing it retroactively.
Every student needs at least one CAS Project — a collaborative, sustained series of activities involving genuine student initiative and planning. Worth logging its title, dates and hours separately from routine CAS activities, since it carries its own specific requirements.
The IB itself doesn't mandate a fixed hours total — that's set at school level, so your tracker needs to reflect your own school's actual requirement, not a generic default.
Fresh Start Planner builds this exact structure — 7 Learning Outcomes, CAS Project, and portfolio tracking — alongside IA, TOK, EE supervision and predicted grades, all in one private DP workspace.
