Cambridge IGCSE Scheme of Work Template: Week by Week

Unlike a DP-style hours plan, an IGCSE scheme of work works best pinned directly to specific teaching weeks — so you can see, at a glance, which weeks are covered and which still need a topic.

What each topic needs

Why week-pinning beats a topic list

A flat list of topics tells you what you'll cover, not when. Assigning each topic to an actual week — even roughly — turns your plan into something you can check against the calendar: how many weeks until your exam series, and how many of your topics still don't have a week at all.

Checking you'll actually finish in time

Count how many of your topics have a week assigned, and how many don't. If a meaningful chunk are still unplaced with only a handful of weeks left before your entries close, that's worth knowing now — not in the exam series itself.

Fresh Start Planner builds this exact week-by-week structure — plus a live check of how many topics are still unplaced and how many weeks remain before your exam window — across IGCSE, DP, MYP, Edexcel and AP.
